After getting approval from prime minister Manmohan Singh, the Financial Sector Legislative Reforms Commission (FSLRC) panel is set to rewrite and clean up the financial sector laws in the country.
The finance ministry has said that the FSLRC panel meet will be held for the first time on April 5 and it will be headed by Justice BN Srikrishna. FSLRC will review at least 60 finance sector laws during the meet.
FSLRC’s key task will be to remove ambiguity, regulatory gaps and overlaps from the laws. Recommendations provided by FSLRC will usher in next generation reforms.
